Pentair is a global industrial company that delivers sustainable water solutions to residential and commercial customers around the world. After completing a series of business acquisitions, the company was operating with a wide range of product lines and subsidiaries, each with their own unique brand style, digital properties, and technology stacks. Realizing that this fragmented business taxonomy was hurting their organizational value, Pentair needed to transform their business in a way that would create a cohesive brand experience for customers while also giving employees the tools to maintain governance over different lines of business. In parallel, Pentair was separating from its electrical line of business and becoming a separate, publicly traded company.
Pentair partnered with R2i to reimagine its digital presence for external and internal stakeholders by leveraging the Adobe Marketing Cloud. With a six-month timeframe to achieve site launch, an agile approach was adopted for all major milestones. This full lifecycle project began with deep analysis into user personas, IA card sorting sessions, analysis of critical goals and KPIs and authoring needs across internal marketing and sales teams. Through R2i’s strategic approach, Pentair actualized critical business decisions that were required to move toward “One Pentair”. R2i’s UX and design teams crafted a new site experience focused on holistic solutions around improving, enjoying and moving water. New features were engineered by R2i’s technology team to coincide with the new UX to include:
