Design Engineer

R2integrated is looking for a Design Engineer to work with internal engineers and external clients to implement designs into web entities utilizing W3C standard compliant XHTML and CSS. The ideal candidate must have the ability to follow verbal and written communications and communicate effectively with public and coworkers in a professional and courteous manner. Candidates must have 1+ years experience with XHTML, CSS and Adobe Creative Suites and familiarity with content management systems (DotNetNuke, Wordpress, or Drupal). All duties are performed under the guidance of a VP of Technology and Lead Design Engineer.

• Provide progress updates to team lead/project manager
• Design/Develop CMS based templates
• Create custom HTML from Adobe based design files
• Create JavaScript functions to implement dynamic styles
• Able to debug simple SQL statements
• Familiarity with ActionScript
• Ability to research and recommend use of advanced Ajax/JavaScript frameworks
• Understanding of how web pages render on mobile devices
• Participate in UI/UX design reviews and discussions

Other responsibilities:

• Assist in training of new staff
• Provide technical support and training for clients
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned by management
• Creation/Entry of content into CMS
