On Tuesday, August 7, R2integrated was honored to host a group of Mass Communication students from the University of Jos in Nigeria. It was truly a wonderful and enlightening experience to discuss current trends in Communications in the United States, compared and contrasted to those in Western Africa.

What we uncovered is that despite the distance and cultural differences, there are so many similarities.  People everywhere, in all continents and walks of life, are embracing the unity of the world which has been enabled by the enhanced communication and technology developments  that have escalated over the past few years.  Facebook , Twitter, LinkedIn, blogging – are all part of their lives – as ours.   The desire to share in the moment experiences, thoughts, photographs, perspective, etc. has no borders.

Thank you to Dr. Christiana Best for your leadership in bringing these charming and talented students to the United States. As well as Nina Bankova, the Director of International Visitors at the WTCI‘s International Visitors Program Network, for all your coordination and logistical efforts.

It was a great exchange of information and an exciting platform for making new international friends! We look forward to seeing the students again soon in the upcoming weeks. The World Trade Center Institute does a fabulous job of connecting businesses and people internationally. R2i looks forward to our growing relationship with our new neighbor WTCI across the street!

  • I am one of the students that participated in the visit and exchange of information and ideas. I was impressed with the level of committment and professionalism you practice in your organisation, R2Integrated. The meeting widened my perception and knowledge on using the social media as a beautiful platform to advertise and sell products rather than chat with friends and have fun. Thank you guys, Sam and Betsy for having us and sharing with us. The pleasure is mine. I love you.
