If you ever wanted to be the voice of your brand, we have some good news! Facebook has created a new feature for you to do just that. Facebook revealed a feature called ‘Voice’ that allows page administrators to easily engage on their page as themselves. Admins now have the option to like, comment, or post updates with their real name.
This is great news for marketers.
Usually brand Facebook Page admins include people from companies that aren’t exactly in charge of “managing” the page, but have a reason to be an admin. Every time admins like or comment on the brand page, they’re speaking as the brand and not as themselves. This new feature allows users to tell those admins to ensure that they select their personal profile as their “voice” once they become an admin.
Just like social media as a whole, there is some caution when it comes to this new feature. While it seems beneficial to speak to your audience as yourself, you also have to be very aware of what voice you put on when engaging with your audience. So keep in mind how you are engaging with your audience. Always be polite, kind and respectful because at the end of the day, you still represent your brand.
Have you tried the new ‘Voice’ feature? What are your thoughts on being the voice of your brand?
